Creative and Innovative Platform

St. John's believes that creative and performing arts enrich people and communities, and are critical to an understanding of global cultures and the common themes that unite societies.

St. John's provide a creative and innovative platform for students, teachers and staff to develop skills, talent and an aesthetic sense. The school has established clubs and societies with various activities that form an integral part of a holistic programme used to enhance the imagination and creativity in children. Music, theatre, dance, visual arts, pottery, debates, stamp collection, gardening, cooking, cultural and literary activities are a few interest-based electives offered to students to pursue. Students and teachers collaboratively design the agenda and activities of these clubs, and the focus is always on kindling talents and skills, and then honing them. The school has an aesthetically designed indoor AV Room to host pep shows and small gatherings.

Field Trips

Education is effective only when all the senses are put to use. Educational tours are 'classrooms without walls' and students retain most of what they see, what they hear and every detail of what they experience.

Real-world experiences teach students to face realistic challenges, tackle real-life situations, and then interconnect them with textbook learning. St. John's firmly considers that field trips and tours organised during schooling are educational, physical and recreational. It has devised outing schedules based on the grasping power of the students. As per the academic schedule, students along with their teachers venture out for field trips, hikes, nature walks and treks, where they discuss and learn about environmental, geographical, historical or archeological subjects, all through innovative programmes and activities. Students during these trips develop a bond and understand the value of sharing, caring, teamwork, collaboration and co-ordination.

Art develops ideas

At St. John’s, we enjoy making Arts and Music a cross curricular subject. We aim to develop the children's creative and performing skills The Art and Music room provides lessons by trained and experienced faculty in arts as well as training in Indian and western classical forms of music. The teaching of Art and Design involves exploring and developing ideas. Exceptionally talented are encouraged and their works displayed in the school museum to motivate other students.

As a part of talent scouting and grooming, we frequently organize internal and external competitions throughout the academic year. An open-air amphitheatre has been designed, where the students can demonstrate their skills during school’s annual day celebrations and other cultural activities. We encourage and provide every opportunity for the child to improve his talents. By rewarding exceptionally talented students, we motivated others to perform better.

The survival skills

During regular school hours Skating Ring is made available to students and are trained in groups. As a part of training in self-defense, rigorous training in taekwondo and other martial arts are also provided to keep the students physically fit and mentally agile. Provision and plans are made to construct a medium sized swimming pool and a toddler pool to train the students at our new campus at NTR colony. Experienced coach with trained assistant will always be present to guide the students and help them to hone up their skills in this very good form of exercise and survival skills.
